This Mason residence large indoor/outdoor project involved three areas of construction involved. The rear yard of the property was in such direct sunlight that it was virtually unusable for most of the summer. In response, a large covered outdoor dining area was created that has direct access to the rear yard while affording shade during the hottest parts of the day. A central sun room section was created with a large built in section that houses the kid’s games and TV for days when playing outside is not an option. The third space is a large concrete patio area created with an outdoor grill and seating bar for use after the sun had crossed over the space and the grill area receives shade from the central sunroom. Stone work, custom cedar brackets, and cedar trellis were installed in all three areas bringing the spaces together as a unified whole.
